Taylor is in Hillsborough County, Florida.
The county is home to the Hillsborough River
State Park and the Alafia River State Park.
The Hillsborough River State Park, in the
northeast region of the county, is near
Tampa, and is a well known destination for
fishing, kayaking, canoeing, camping, bird
watching, swimming and camping. The Alafia
River State Park also has several amenities
including picnic areas, horse trails, hiking
and biking trails and wildlife viewing
spots. The state park used to be a
phosphorus strip mine.
Lake Taylor is a popular fishing spot among
tourists and locals. The area gets heavy
rainfall throughout the
year. August is usually the wettest month,
while April is the driest.
Fox Hollow Golf club is located near the
lake, and is a wonderful place to play golf
in. Courtyard by Marriot Tampa-Oldsmar is
also a nice place to spend a few nights in.
